Heritage North Consulting Ltd. provides comprehensive cultural resource management services (CRM) in western Canada. The majority of our work is archaeological assessments related to oil and gas exploration and development, but we also work with forestry companies, private developers, First Nations, and federal and provincial agencies. We provide a number of different services to clients year round, responding quickly to development deadlines.

The business was founded in 1987, but Director Keary Walde has been working in the field of cultural resource management in western Canada since 1973. Since establishing a permanent presence in Fort St. John in 1986-87, Heritage North has built its reputation as the CRM firm with expert local knowledge and close cooperation with local First Nations communities. We hire trained field assistants from these communities, and maintain a policy of employing and training people within whose traditional territory we are working.
